Patricia Michelson started La Fromagerie in 1991 after bringing back a wheel of Beaufort Chalet d’Alpage cheese following a skiing holiday in Meribel, Savoie. Now with three shops (the first in Highbury from 1992, and most recently Bloomsbury in 2017) Patricia opened her flagship Marylebone emporium in 2002 with its signature walk-in Cheese Room housing 250 cheeses, a selection of seasonal produce and wines. Within the shop a café serves a daily changing menu, taking its inspiration from the shop larder.
